AgriBit

Terms and conditions

Version 2026-08-08

1. What AgriBit is

AgriBit is a platform for collecting, storing and displaying measurements from sensors you install on your own land, and for sending commands to hardware you connect to it.

By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not create an account.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password and your device tokens secret. Anyone holding a node's token can send readings as that node.

You are responsible for what people you grant access can do. Access is granted per farm and per node, and viewing, exporting and triggering hardware are separate permissions. Choose them deliberately.

3. Age and eligibility

You must give your real date of birth when creating an account. This is a self-declaration. AgriBit does not verify it, and its honesty is your responsibility, not ours.

AgriBit is not directed at children and does not knowingly open accounts for them. If someone underage creates an account using a false birth date, or makes a purchase through the platform, we are not responsible for that. Responsibility for what was declared at signup stays with the person who declared it.

4. Your data, and our access to it

The readings your nodes send, the farms and nodes you create, and the settings and automation rules you configure are stored on servers operated by AgriBit.

AgriBit staff can access this data, including your farm's measurements and statistics. We do this to operate the platform, to investigate faults, and to answer support requests. We do not sell it, and we do not give identifiable farm data to third parties except where the law requires it.

We may use your data, with your farm's and your identity removed, to improve the platform, for example to spot failing sensors, to build features that compare conditions across regions, and to train models that make those features work. Anonymised data derived this way may be kept and used after your account is closed, because it can no longer be traced back to you.

You can export your own readings as CSV or JSON at any time from the dashboard. Ask us and we will delete your account and the data identifying you.

5. Hardware and automation

You are responsible for the hardware you connect and for anything it does, including pumps, valves and any other equipment an automation rule can operate.

Automation is a convenience, not a safety system. Readings can be wrong, networks fail, and a command can be delayed or never arrive. Do not rely on AgriBit to prevent damage, and fit your equipment with its own physical safeguards.

6. Availability

AgriBit is early software offered as it is, with no guarantee of availability, accuracy or fitness for any particular purpose. There is no uptime commitment, and features may change.

We take care with your data, but you should keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. The export is there for that.

7. Changes to these terms

These terms will be expanded as the platform grows. Each version is dated, and the version you accepted is recorded against your account.

If a future version changes materially what we do with your data, we will ask you to accept it rather than changing it quietly.

8. Contact

Questions about these terms, about your data, or a request to delete your account: use the Support page inside the dashboard.
